As the weather begins to normalize, we all joyfully anticipate returning to normal living. In the meantime, if you have reason to suspect that you’ve got frozen pipes or other water-related issues at your home we are offering to temporarily cut off your water service at the meter (usually near the street). Such a precaution may mitigate further water damage from broken pipes as the temperatures rise above freezing. This technique is common when plumbers are troubleshooting or repairing water leaks in homes. Of course, you must be prepared to manage living essentials while water service is temporarily discontinued (stored or bottled water, etc.).
Please understand that we do not have the resources to troubleshoot issues in your home or on your property. This is best accomplished by a licensed plumber. However, it is likely that plumbers may be delayed if you request a service call. In the meantime, it may be prudent to turn your water off.
If you want us to turn your water off, please send an email to DHCWSC@GMAIL.COM with the following: 1) Name, 2) Address, 3) Telephone, 4) Email
We will service these requests as promptly as we can. If you know of someone who may not use email regularly, please alert them to the contents of this message.
Sincerely,Double Horn Creek Water Supply Corporation and Spicewood Utility Service Staff
