ATTENTION all Double Horn Creek Water Supply Corporation Members:

Due to severe and continuing drought conditions, our wells remain at historically low levels.  The Central Texas Groundwater Conservation District has declared Burnet County in CRITICAL drought stage.  Effective immediately, DHCWSC is declaring   

                                           STAGE III MANDATORY WATER USE RESTRICTIONS 

Please refrain from all outdoor automatic irrigation as this is the major cause of excessive water usage.  Limit watering to hand-held hoses and drip irrigation if absolutely necessary.  You are required to refrain from other outdoor water use such as outdoor fountains, refilling swimming pools, washing equipment or cars, and other such non essential uses.      

Some simple indicators of your water consumption:  If your monthly water bill is UNDER $100, you are doing your part to conserve water.  If your bill is $100-$120 you need to improve your conservation practices.  If your bill is OVER $120/month you are using water for non-essential purposes.
